pics_people/foto_gastone.jpgGastone Gilli: degree in Chemistry (1961) at UNIFE. Before his recent retirement (2010), Full Professor of Chemistry (1975-1985) and Physical Chemistry (1985-2010) and Director of the Centre for Structural Diffractometry (1969-2010) at UNIFE. Research: trained in materials sciences, he moved to structural crystallography after a NATO Fellowship at UMIST (Manchester, UK) with Prof. D.W.J. Cruickshank (1971). Since then, he has devoted his activity to structural chemistry, structure-property relationships, thermodynamics of biological systems, and theory of molecular interactions authoring 160 publications and delivering more than 40 lectures. He is a recognized expert in the fields of hydrogen bonding and receptor-binding thermodynamics.
